SavingStar is another worthwhile cash making app. Users earn cash back rebates on groceries and online shopping. It’s available for FREE on iPhone and Android.
It is similar to Ibotta and Checkout 51, but it has some very unique qualities that you won’t find anywhere else.
Most of you might have heard about SavingStar and how you earn cash back on groceries and online shopping but did you know they have credit card deals and that you can earn cash back from using the credit card? I don’t know of any other rebate app that offers this.
SavingStar has great offers on things I buy weekly anyway and they have plenty of good name brands. This makes a huge difference as to if it’s a worthwhile app. Some apps I have tried offered so many things that I had never heard of or things that aren’t available in my area.
I especially like the weekly “Healthy Offer” which is another reason they are unique. Users can get up to 20% back on veggies or fruits of any brand. No other company/app offers this. It really encourages and helps me buy healthier foods. So far, I have got cash back on onions, tomatoes, lettuce, bananas, and apples.
SavingStar is also unique in that they have a “One or Many” offer. For example, they might have an offer where if you purchase $30.00 worth of a certain brand of soup, you get back $5.00.
The good thing about this is that I can purchase the soup all at one time or I can make several purchases over the stated period of time. They keep track of how much I have spent toward the $30 goal with a progress bar at the bottom of the offer. This gives the user plenty of time to get the rebate.
The payout limit for SavingStar is only $5.00 and you can have that transferred to your PayPal account or get one of their gift cards. Today, I had my earning transferred to PayPal and it was received almost immediately.
If you don’t have a smartphone that’s okay because you don’t need it. That’s another unique quality of SavingStar!
Here’s how to use SavingStar without a smartphone:
Go to the SavingStar website and register for an account. Select the rebate offers you want. Go shopping. When you get back, scan your receipt with a scanner and then download the scanned receipt to their website. Then wait for your rebate!
